Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro officially launched the 2025 National Certificate Examinations for Grade 8 and Grade 12 students at a ceremony held on Saturday at Farah Omar Secondary School in Hargeisa.
Addressing students, teachers, examiners, and education officials, President Irro emphasized the central role of education in Somaliland’s journey toward progress, self-reliance, and statehood.
He praised the tens of thousands of candidates across the nation for their dedication and perseverance and urged them to face their examinations with honesty, discipline, and confidence. The President also called on all stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of transparency and integrity to preserve the credibility of the process.
Highlighting education as a pillar of national development, Irro described Somaliland’s youth as stewards of the nation’s future, with the responsibility to uphold values of innovation, good governance, and national pride.
The President concluded by wishing all candidates success and reaffirming his government’s commitment to further strengthening the education sector as a foundation for sustainable growth.
