Hargeisa – The President of Somaliland, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro, has extended his deepest condolences to India.
President Irro condoled with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, and the people of India following a tragic plane crash in Gujarat.
In a statement released on Sunday, President Irro expressed solidarity with the Indian nation during what he called “a profound national tragedy,” affirming that Somaliland stands “in steadfast solidarity with our Indian friends.”
“Somaliland and India are bound by over 300 years of shared history — ties forged through maritime trade, cultural exchange, and mutual respect,” he noted.
The President also offered prayers for the victims and comfort for the bereaved families.
