A candidate in this year’s presidential polls in Somaliland has thrown his weight behind the candidature of Raila Odinga for the chairmanship of the African Union Commission (AUC).
Faysal Ali Warabe, the leader of the Justice and Development (UCID) party, said that he supports Odinga’s candidature.
Odinga is a candidate for Kenya.
The former Prime Minister will compete against Fawzia Adam Yusuf, who is Somalia’s candidate for the seat.
Warabe said that Odinga stands out for his experience and dedication.
“Raila is the ideal leader to drive positive change and progress across the continent,” Warabe said while endorsing Raila for the seat.
