Lawmakers in Somaliland are ready to debate the new Archeology Bill.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Tourism said that the Archeology Draft Act was the result of collaboration with the Horn Heritage Organization.
The next stage is to present the draft act before the House of the Representatives.
Once parliamentarians debate and pass it, the bill would then go before the Council of Cabinet for approval.
The trade ministry unveiled the draft in a ceremony carried out at its headquarters in Hargeisa on May 4.
Dr. Sada Mire, the Head of the Horn Heritage Organization, expressed her pleasure when handing over the draft bill to the ministry officials.
