Somaliland Receives Humanitarian Grant Worth $2 Million from Taiwan

Somaliland has received a humanitarian grant worth $2 million from Taiwan.

The Taiwanese government donated the funds to Somaliland to enable the breakaway nation to handle humanitarian issues around the country.

Specifically, the funds would benefit the health and education sectors in Somaliland.

Dr. Saad Ali Shire, the Somaliland Minister of Financial Development, confirmed that the country received the funds from Taiwan.

He added that the water and food sectors in the country would also benefit from the funds.

The minister expressed gratitude to Taiwan for supporting various projects in the country for the past three years.
