Somaliland has received a shipload of food donations from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The ship carrying the food supplies landed at the shores of Somaliland on Tuesday.
UAE donated food supplies to address the humanitarian crisis facing those affected by drought in Somaliland.
Around 5,000 families are expected to benefit from the 188 tons of food aid.
Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Foundation donated the foodstuff that was then handed over to Faisal Ali Sheikh.
The latter is the chairman of the National Disaster Preparedness and Food Reserve (NADFOR).
Abdallah Al-Naqbi, the UAE Ambassador to Somaliland, did the handing over.
