Somaliland now has 449 COVID-19 cases after the country’s Ministry of Health announced 19 new infections.
The number arose out of the 83 tests that the health ministry had carried out around the country in the last 24 hours.
Out of the new cases, 12 are male while the rest are female.
Furthermore, the health ministry reported that the youngest confirmed case is 10 years old with the oldest aged 89 years.
A 52-year old man succumbed to the virulent disease in Buroa thus bringing the tally of fatalities to 25.
The health ministry had some good news when it announced nine new recoveries, which take the number of people to have recovered from the disease and been discharged to 73.
