Mohamed Haji Mahmud, Somaliland’s Representative to Taiwan, held a meeting to discuss bilateral talks with the Asian country on December 30.
Mahmud held discussion on bilateral ties with Dr. Lin Chia-Long, Taiwan’s Minister of Transportation, Telecommunication, and Tourism.
Ambassador Ali Yang, a Director General in Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, accompanied Dr. Chia-Long to the meeting.
During Wednesday’s meeting, the leaders discussed mutual interests including the importance of developing trade cooperation between their respective nations.
Somaliland and Taiwan established diplomatic relations in the middle of 2020.
Since then, they have established and deployed representatives in each other’s territory.
