President Muse Bihi Abdi of Somaliland confirmed that his administration will review the National Land Management Policy.
Bihi revealed this during the 81st Council of Cabinet session that he chaired on October 21.
Vice President Abdirahman Abdillahi Ismael attended the Thursday session too.
The Council of Cabinet agreed that the Land Management Bill has to be drafted and presented to parliament for debate and further refinement soon.
Further, the cabinet agreed on several resolutions.
These include encouraging members of the public to stop fencing off pasture lands.
Additionally, the government would form a committee to review the National Land Policy and present their findings to the cabinet.
