Somaliland has sent condolences to Tanzania over the death of President John Pombe Magufuli.
The death of President Magufuli was announced on March 17.
On Wednesday, Vice President Samia Suluhu informed the world that President Magufuli died at a Dar es Salaam hospital from heart complications.
Somaliland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs described Magufuli’s death as a “tragic loss” to not only Tanzanians but also the entire region.
The ministry assured Tanzanians that they are at the center of the thoughts and prayers of the people and government of Somaliland.
The announcement of the death of the 61-year old Magufuli ended weeks of speculations of his whereabouts and health.
