Somaliland administration has shut down an independent TV station based in Hargeisa.
Journalists in the region confirmed that the station, which was identified as Star TV, is no longer on air.
However, no reason has been given for the decision to shut the firm down.
Nevertheless, a media activist fighting for the rights of journalists in the Horn of Africa nation said that the station’s license has been revoked.
