Somaliland says that it would not accept the unification calls with Somalia propagated by Uganda President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
The Somaliland government issued a statement on Sunday evening rejecting the calls by Museveni.
Earlier, Museveni vowed to mediate between Somaliland and Somalia after his meeting with Dr. Jama Musse Jama in Kampala.
Dr. Jama is the Special Advisor of the Somaliland President.
In its statement, Somaliland stated that any dialogue Somalia would not delve into the issue of unification.
Somaliland broke free from Somalia over 30 years ago. However, Somalia continues to treat Somaliland as part of its territory.
