The governments of both Somaliland and Taiwan have announced joint efforts to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
This was revealed on January 17 when TaiDoc Technology Corporation and ForaCare Foundation donated COVID-19 antigen rapid test kits.
The new rapid kits are able to produce COVID-19 test results in 15 minutes.
The European Union (EU) and Taiwan authorities have certified the new rapid test kits.
Taiwan’s Representative Office in Somaliland announced the new arrangement on behalf of the Taiwanese government.
Somaliland’s Ministry of Health Development received 6,000 COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test Kits.
While receiving the donation, the health ministry stated that the kits would prove crucial in fighting the second wave of the virulent disease in the breakaway region of Somaliland.
