The Budget Policy Committee of Somaliland met to discuss the priorities for next year.
It held its second meeting this week at the headquarters of the Ministry of Financial Development in Hargeisa.
Committee members agreed to align the 2025 priorities with those of the National Development Plan.
Top in the list of priorities is increasing revenue and adopting a progressive taxation system.
They further agreed on the need to implement the pension program under the Somaliland Pension Act.
The committee’s first meeting on the 2025 priorities took place on July 2.
