Somaliland’s Ministry of Health has reported another 46 COVID-19 cases in the country thus pushing the tally of people diagnosed with the disease to 550.
The 46 are from the 133 people that were tested for the novel Coronavirus in the last 24 hours. From that number, 40 are male with females making up the remaining six.
Furthermore, the health ministry confirmed that 20 of the new cases are Somaliland nations, 16 are Indians living in the country, while one is a Kenyan.
All the new patients are aged between 10 and 89 years too.
Additionally, health officials announced one more death after a man aged 86 years old died in Hargeisa thus increasing the number of people to have died of COVID-19 to 27.
During his briefing, Dr. Hussein Mohamed Yusuf – a high-ranking health ministry official – said 19 cases each are in Hargeisa and Berbera, and four each in Borama and Lowyo Addo City.
