Brig. Gen. Abdirahman Liban Fohle, the Deputy Chief of the Custodial Corps in Somaliland, died suddenly on Sunday night.
According to authorities, Brig. Gen. Fohle suffered a sudden heart attack, which forced him to be rushed to Hargeisa General Hospital from where he passed away.
Gen. Ahmed Awale Yusuf, the Chief of the Custodial Corps, confirmed that his deputy was on duty when he suffered the heart attack.
Fohle is a long-serving Deputy Police Commissioner.
He was only posted to the Custodial Corps in a recent government reshuffle announced by Somaliland’s President Musa Bihi Abdi.
His burial will take place in Hargeisa on Monday.
