The State Elections Implementation Team (SEIT) of Somaliland has supported the calls for nullification of the results in 16 parliamentary seats.
Somaliland’s SEIT specifically threw their weight behind the call by Upper House Speaker Abdi Hashi on this issue.
Hashi said that results in at least 16 seats should not be allowed to stand.
“Otherwise, the ongoing electoral process would lack credibility,” Speaker Hashi said.
Now, the Somaliland electoral team has also added their voice to these growing complaints.
Further, the SEIT called for consensus to enable cohesion to thrive in the East African nation.
