The Vice President of Somaliland has recovered from the deadly COVID-19 disease, reports from Hargeisa indicate.
Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail Sayli’i was retested for COVID-19 by a medical team in Hargeisa on March 29.
Results from his Monday test turned out negative.
The Vice President then went ahead to announce on Twitter that his latest COVID-19 results were negative.
He expressed gratitude to the people of Somaliland for praying for his recovery.
Earlier, Vice President Sayli’i had tested positive to the deadly disease together with his wife.
Since then, he has been quarantined at his home.
He is now in good health and expects to resume his normal activities soon.
