Abdirahman Duale Belleh, the Minister of Finance in Somalia, attended a crucial summit in Djibouti.
The summit discussed policy directives that promote economic integration in the Horn of Africa region.
During the summit, stakeholders also discussed regional cooperation in the region.
Officials from representatives of other governments in the region were at the summit too. They included those from Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Kenya, and Somalia.
Ministers and government representatives from these countries will evaluate joint trade between their nations during the two-day summit.
They will use the opportunity to examine joint investment opportunities and activities the countries have undertaken since launching the Horn of Africa Initiative in 2019.
