Somali’s Minister of Finance, Abdirahman Duale Beileh met with the head of African Development Bank (AfDB) President Akinwumi Adesina.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed wide-ranging issues. Top in that list was the need to reform economic development in the country.
As part of the agenda, they also talked about the importance of boosting cooperation between the country and AfDB.
They noted that the relationship between Somalia and AfDB has to improve.
“It is my pleasure to meet with President Akinwumi Adesina of AfDB to discuss several issues that affect our country,” said Minister Beileh.
“Our discussions centered on reforms and the urge to develop the country economically. We realize that we must strengthen the relationship between Somalia and AfDB,” said Beileh.
He also emphasized the role that AfDB has played in ensuring that the country remains on the road to financial and economic success.
