The federal Ministry of Health has encouraged all Somalis in the country to adhere to the protocols put in place to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19.
The health ministry reminded Somalis of this in a circular published on June 9, 2022.
According to the health ministry, a new wave of OMICRON, a variant of COVID-19, hit the shores of the East African nation a couple of months ago.
Despite relaxing many of the protocols, the Ministry of Health urged Somalis to continue observing several travel restrictions.
Travelers aged 12 years and above, who are entering the country, must have and display their COVID-19 PCR negative certificate.
A COVID-19 test is also mandatory for this group of travelers.
