Somalis Urged to Use Agriculture as a Tool for Addressing Climate Crises

Somalis need to learn to use agriculture as a tool for addressing the crises of climate change.

Beth Bechdol, the Deputy Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), offered this piece of advice while in Somalia.

Bechdol said this on Friday when she landed in Somalia on an official visit.

She arrived with Joyce Msuya, the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Agency (OCHA).

Bechdol visited Villa Somalia where she met with senior officers from the Office of the Prime Minister.

She discussed issues relating to climate change and resilience with the representatives from the Prime Minister’s office.
