According to the sources, the militants plan to hit Mogadishu with a series of suicide bomb attacks.
In recent weeks, the Al-Shabaab fighters have ramped up their attacks in different parts of the country.
Security agencies believe that buildings hosting government offices could be the target.
Some possible targets include Damanyo Camp, which acts as the base for the Turkish-trained elite forces.
The Somali National Army (SNA) Central Command could also be a target.
Additionally, the Ministry of Defense’s offices, especially in Mogadishu, are in line for the impending attacks.
