Southwest State continues to lead in the list of the number of people in Somalia affected by the ongoing floods.
The state leads with over 494,000 people as of November 9.
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Jubbaland is in second place with over 310,000 people.
Puntland and Galmudug follow next with 201,000 and more than 145,800 people respectively.
Nationwide, the number has now risen to over 1.2 million Somalis.
OCHA now asks the federal government and Somalia’s partners to join hands in providing assistance to mitigate the effects of the floods.
