Somalia’s regional state of Southwest will accelerate durable solutions programs with the assistance of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
This was revealed on Wednesday following a meeting between Zahra Abdi and the Director Generals from all the Southwest ministries.
Representatives from IOM attended the meeting chaired by Zahra, who is the Director of Poverty Reduction and Durable Solutions in the federal Ministry of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development.
Zahra’s meeting with the DGs and the IOM officials agreed to enhance the programs in line with the National Durable Solutions Strategy.
They will abide by the dictates of Southwest’s action plan too.
