The football team from Southwest State emerged winners of the recent football tournament involving all the Federal Member States (FMS).
Southwest State was declared the champions after beating their colleagues from Jubbaland in the final match.
The tournament was taking place for the first time in close to four years.
President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Lafta-Gareen congratulated the players for raising Southwest’s flag high.
In his message, Lafta-Gareen said that the players’ victory is a huge victory for the people of the Southwest State.
