The regional state of Southwest is to hold elections for six House of the People seats on Wednesday.
Southwest’s State Elections Implementation Team (SEIT) announced the elections on March 8.
According to a communiqué from the SEIT, 14 candidates have expressed interest in the six seats.
Four candidates will contest one seat – HOP#168.
Somalia set a deadline of March 15 for concluding elections for all federal Lower House seats in the country.
