Southwest regional states have kicked off elections for their House of the People (Lower House) seats.
The Southwest polls took place on Saturday, November 27.
Baidoa, the administrative capital of this regional state, had the onus of hosting the first day of the elections.
Mohamed Mursal, the outgoing Speaker of the federal Lower House, is one of the candidates vying to represent Southwest at the federal parliament.
