Abdi Hashi, the Speaker of the Senate (Upper House) urged Somali politicians to demonstrate leadership.
Speaker Hashi made these comments during the recent fourth annual conference of the Heritage Institute for Policy Studies (HIPS), which took place in Garowe.
According to Speaker Hashi, Somalia is at a crossroad.
Consequently, the only solution is for politicians to demonstrate leadership.
Hashi said that the country’s leadership have to work together to find solutions that enable Somalia to avoid falling into a relapse and crisis.
He commended Heritage Institute for bringing Somalia leaders to Garowe to discuss issues affecting the country together.
