The Speaker of the People’s Assembly, Sheikh Adan Madobe, met with the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Representative to Somalia, Mohamud Abdi Ahmed, this week.
Speaker Madobe and the IGAD Representative discussed the organization’s ongoing work and plans for the year.
During the meeting, the Speaker commended Somalia for its active participation in IGAD’s regional initiatives.
He highlighted the country’s commitment to fostering regional cooperation and addressing shared challenges too.
This engagement underscores Somalia’s role in contributing to the stability and development of the Horn of Africa through collaborative efforts with IGAD.
