Speaker Mursal Lists Reasons for Parliament’s Ouster of Prime Minister Khaire

The reasons that encouraged the Federal Parliament of Somalia to oust Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire from office have emerged.

Speaker Mohamed Mursal has listed the reasons that informed the decision by Members of Parliament (MPs) to kick Khaire out of office.

Mursal indicated that parliament blamed Khaire for failing to design a clear plan for holding one-person-one-vote elections that the country demands.

Secondly, he said Prime Minister Khaire failed to complete federalism.

Parliament also found Khaire guilty of failing to decide on the political status of Mogadishu. Khaire was blamed for the failure by government to hold a referendum on the constitution.

Furthermore, the inability by the government to implement a working political parties’ system was levied on the Prime Minister.
