Major General Abdi Hassan Mohamed Hijar, the Somali Police Force (SPF) Chief, mourned four police officers who died in the terror attack in Beledweyne.
The SPF chief called the four officers “martyrs.”
According to Maj. Gen. Hijar, the officers died while defending the lives and properties of the people of Somalia.
Wednesday’s terror attack in Beledweyne left around 50 people dead.
More than 100 people are currently in hospital receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained during the attack.
