A suspect in the mortar attack that left three people dead in Mogadishu on Tuesday has been arrested.
Police arrested the man in an operation carried out in Barwaqa, a neighborhood in the Mogadishu district of Deyniile.
According to police, the mortars were fired from Barwaqa.
Sadiq Adan Ali Doodishe, a Somali Police Force (SPF) spokesperson, added that police officers visited the neighborhood from which they arrested one of the suspects.
Police officers discovered various other ammunition at the scene.
Three other suspects are also in police custody helping with investigations.
Tuesday’s attack left three people dead and a similar number injured. All of them were members of the same family.
The father and two of his children died while the mother and two other children escaped with injuries.
