The Somali Water and Land Information Management (SWALIM) is in the process of mapping Somalia ahead of the much anticipated El Nino rains.
SWALIM is to conduct the mapping in conjunction with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
The 2-month mapping exercise, which is to be known as “Mapathon”, will help both organizations to prepare for effective early warning.
The exercise will run from August 15 to October 15.
