The swearing-in ceremony for the GorGor Commando Force units, which were trained by Türkiye, was held at the TURKSOM camp in Mogadishu on Sunday.
Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre was the chief guest at the ceremony.
In his speech, Prime Minister Barre emphasized the significance of their professional training.
He stated that this training would enhance their capabilities to safeguard Somalia’s borders across air, land, and sea.
This event underscores the ongoing collaboration between Somalia and Türkiye in strengthening Somalia’s security infrastructure and defense capabilities.
