Sweden is to continue supporting the democratic process in the regional state of Puntland.
On Sunday, Johan Svensson offered this assurance when he held discussions with officials from the Puntland Electoral Commission (PEC).
Svensson, who is from the Swedish Embassy in Mogadishu, met with Fu’ad Adeer.
The latter is the Chairman of PEC.
Svensson and Adeer discussed wide-ranging issues. They focused on the electoral body’s plans for the upcoming polls.
They also spoke of ways in which Sweden could support Puntland’s democratic process.
