Taiwan donated several COVID-19 supplies to the breakaway region of Somaliland on March 28.
Taiwan’s Representative Office in Somaliland delivered the supplies on behalf of the Taiwanese government.
The supplies included personal protective equipment (PPEs), shoe covers, caps, facemasks, and medical gowns.
Gowns to be used by airline passengers were also part of the consignment released to Somaliland on Sunday.
Taiwan and Somaliland have been enjoying improved diplomatic and bilateral ties since last year.
Since 2020, Taiwan has supported Somaliland’s fight against COVID-19.
In that period, it has donated medical equipments and finances to Somaliland.
