Taiwan’s Representative Office in Somaliland is to hold its first trade fair in the Horn of Africa country from October 28-29, 2020.
The trade fair is to take place at Grand Haadi Hotel, which is Hargeisa.
Organizers have confirmed that the event is to be known as “2020 Taiwan Trade Fair from Somaliland to East Africa.”
According to a statement from the Representative Office, the purpose of the trade fair is to expose the region to excellent products from Taiwan.
The Representative Office said that Somaliland would act as the gateway for its products to the Horn of Africa region.
During the trade fair, participants would be shown how to do business with Taiwan.
Furthermore, the organizers hope that they would use the occasion to identify proactive ways of preventing the second wave of COVID-19 from spreading around Somaliland.
