Nabil Chen-Chu, Taiwan’s Deputy Representative to Somaliland, visited the University of Hargeisa on January 6, 2021.
During his visit, Chen-Chu had an opportunity to meet several university leaders.
He held discussions with the President of the University of Hargeisa and several top officials of the institution of higher learning.
Chen-Chu’s visit to the university sought to identify further areas of collaboration after the Somaliland institution recently signed an agreement with Taiwan’s CYCU University.
Furthermore, the Deputy Representative urged university officials to encourage their students to apply for the Taiwan Scholarship Programs.
Somaliland students who are pursuing courses such as medicine, healthcare, fisheries and marine, and engineering are eligible to apply for Taiwan Scholarship Programs in 2021.
