Thamarat has won the Khalid Innovation Award at the three-day Mogadishu Tech Summit.
The company was declared the winner of the award, which comes with a cash prize of US$5,000.
The funds would go into enabling the firm’s founders to start and run the business.
Thamarat provides delivery services for Somali customers who need fresh fruits and vegetables.
It ensures that food gets from the farmers to consumers efficiently.
