Thirty Al-Shabaab militants were killed in an operation undertaken by the security forces in Somalia on Saturday.
The militants were killed as the Somali National Army (SNA) and its partners carried out the operation in a Lower Shabelle village.
The military operation targeted a secret base of the Al-Shabaab militants in Jilib Marka.
Military sources confirmed that the operation was successful because of prior intelligence that the forces had received on the whereabouts and activities of the militants.
