Three Children Die in an IED Explosion in Guri-El

Three children lost their lives in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Guri-El town on November 14.

Reports indicate that they were homeless owing to their status as internally displaced persons (IDPs).

At the time of the incident, the children were playing outside.

Local authorities are yet to launch investigations into the matter.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the matter.

There are fears that Al-Shabaab could be behind the planting of the IED that exploded and caused the death of the three young children.
