Three children lost their lives when African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) troops clashed with Al-Shabaab fighters on December 2.
The AMISOM troops were from Djibouti.
Reports indicate that the three children were all from the same family.
The incident took place in Beledweyne, which is in Central Somalia.
Several sources revealed that the militants fired mortar shells at the Djiboutian military base in Howl-wadaag.
The Djibouti forces then responded to the attack with one of their own.
Reports show that the three children were killed when one of these mortar shells landed at their family house.
Although the situation is under control at the moment, the air remains full of tension.
