Three European Union countries have approved several infrastructural agreements with Somaliland.
Under the agreements, the three countries would support and finance construction of roads.
Other projects that would benefit from the agreements include the setting up of agricultural systems, and establishment of water facilities and fisheries.
The countries supporting infrastructural development in Somaliland include the United Kingdom, Denmark, and Netherlands.
They have pledged to support the Horn of Africa nation under Second Phase of the Somaliland Development Fund (SDF2).
The agreements signed between the three nations and Somaliland are for the rebuilding of the Burao-Berbera Road.
Additionally, the agreements would enable Somaliland to embark on sustainable management of land in Maroodijeh and Awdal regions.
Apart from those, other projects that would benefit include Hargeisa Water Agency, which supplies water to the residents of Hargeisa.
The last beneficiary would be Sanaag region, which is constructing Maydh fishing jetty.
