Three Iran Sailors Hijacked by Somali Pirates Released

Three Iranian sailors who were part of the crew in the ship hijacked by Somali pirates have been released.

According to John Steed, a highly respected maritime official providing hostage support services, the three sailors were unharmed and remain in relative good health.

They were part of a group traveling in a dhow that was captured in March 2019.

The crew of 19 people on the dhow at the time was then transported to the shore from where some were released while others were rescued.

Somali pirates have been notorious for hijacking foreign-owned ships operating on the waters around its shores.
