Three people were killed when the minibus they were traveling in collided head on with a car on Berbera Road.
The crash took place at Buurta Sheikh along the road from Berbera town to Burao.
According to eyewitnesses, several other passengers sustained injuries in the crash and were rushed to hospital for medical attention.
A resident, who witnessed the accident that took place on Wednesday, said the driver of the minibus was among those killed on the spot.
The resident mentioned that the driver was overtaking several vehicles on the road when he crashed his minibus on to an oncoming vehicle.
He said that the accident took place at midday.
Immediately, passersby rushed to the scene where they rescued several passengers whom they rushed to Berbera General Hospital for treatment.
