Three regional state leaders have arrived in Mogadishu ahead of the election of federal parliamentary speakers.
Leaders from Galmudug, Puntland, and Southwest states arrived in the national capital separately.
The leaders in question are President Said Abdullahi Deni (Puntland), President Ahmed Abdi Karie Qoorqoor (Galmudug), and President Abdiaziz Ahmed Hassan Laftagareen (Southwest).
Deni, Qoorqoor, and Laftagareen arrived in Mogadishu on Tuesday, April 19.
Both chambers of the federal parliament have started registering candidates vying for the position of Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
Interested candidates have until April 22 to register.
