The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has declared war on TikTok and Telegram in the country.
Somalia announced a ban on the two social media platforms on Sunday.
An online betting app known as 1XBet also fell on the wrong side of the ban.
The government banned the three via the Ministry of Communications and Technology.
It asked internet service providers (ISPs) to implement the ban by August 24.
ISPs that fail to implement the ban should be ready for unspecified action, the ministry warned.
