A top Aide to the leader of Al-Shabaab surrendered to government troops on Thursday.
Reports from Somalia indicate that Sa’id Moogaw Madeey surrendered to Somali National Army (SNA) in Hiiraan.
He has served as a top aide to Abdirahman Garweyne, a senior Al-Shabaab leader.
His surrender took place a short moment ago in Hudur, the capital of Bakool region.
