Top African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) commanders concluded their meeting on Monday.
They have been meeting over the last four days.
During the meeting, the ATMIS commanders evaluated the successful implementation of the first phase of the withdrawal of their troops from Somalia.
ATMIS reduced its troops significantly by the end of June 2023.
The second phase of the withdrawal of ATMIS forces would see them reduced by as much as 3,000 in September 2023.
